Art of Loving – Olivia Dean
Since Olivia Dean dropped Art of Loving, there has not been a single day this album was not on repeat! I have been listening to it non stop since last year and honestly it just never gets old. Every track hits differently every time.
Then my physical copy arrived just in time for her to win the Grammy for Best New Artist — I was absolutely over the moon! So happy for her and truly so deserved. All the recognition coming her way right now, she has earned every bit of it.
Now let me talk about the tracks because this is genuinely a no skip album. I love every single one of them, but of course, there are personal favourites that just hit extra hard. I’ve Seen It is one of those songs that stops you in your tracks — the emotion in it is something else. Let Alone the One You Love is another one that I keep going back to, it is so beautifully written. So Easy feels like a warm hug, and “Man I Need” is the track where you close your eyes and feel every word.
What I love about Olivia Dean is how real and soulful everything sounds. The Art of Loving feels like a whole journey from start to finish. It is the kind of album that you put on and just let it play through because every song deserves its moment.
